THAI vice-president Surapol Isrankura na Ayutthaya said the ongoing political unrest in Hong Kong had forced the airline to close the office until Sunday for the safety of the staff as it is located in the area near the rally site.
Flg Off Surapol said the rally would not disrupt THAI flights between Bangkok and Hong Kong.
The THAI office is located in Admiralty district, one of the protest sites of pro-democracy demonstrators led by students on Friday.
Wednesday and Thursday are already the public holidays to mark the Chinese National Day followed by a festival to honour ancestors.
